Story Behind My OC

Hyou was one of the first original characters I created, all the way back in 2012. He came from a short story I wrote in my school notebooks as a teen, with a different name and backstory. For a long time, he remained a quiet figure hidden between the pages. When I started my social media account years later in 2016, I brought him back; this time as my online persona. Since then, Hyou has become the face of my art journey.

To me, Hyou is more than just a character. In many ways, he reflects parts of my personality and background. Whenever I feel down about my art, drawing him gives me the strength to push through those struggles, and he brings me a quiet peace that no other character can quite give me.

As you look through the gallery, you'll notice that my art style has changed a lot over the years. And Hyou has grown and evolved right along with it. I’ve always wanted to create a dedicated space for him, where I can share his profile, backstory, creative process, and how he’s developed through time. I hope this page can give you a small glimpse into who Hyou is and what he means to me.

Cherry Blossoms, Being Alone

Crowds, People, Noises

Not much is known about Hyou. Quiet and mysterious, Hyou often goes unnoticed, like a fleeting ghost. He rarely speaks, and his distant nature can make him seem cold. But underneath that silence is a kind and gentle soul, shaped by a painful past he rarely talks about.

Though he still struggles with haunting memories, Hyou finds peace in quiet moments, especially when watching cherry blossoms. They remind him that even after the coldest winters, something beautiful can begin again. One day, he hopes to plant a cherry tree, a small symbol of peace and hope he can call his own.
